Most of people have problems and myths abouts how to charge the smart phone battery properly and how to take care of it. This post may help you to keep your battery in good condition.
For this post, I've followed another website. Link is given below.
(This post is about Li-ion batteries.)
Myths and ideas about Li-ion battery charging...
1. Charge the phone after the battery is completely dead.
If you constantly let them drain to 0% they become unstable. It's better to charge your phone every day than to do a " deep charge" from time to time.
Your battery has a limited number of charge cycles, and every time it fully dies, it will reduce a charge cycle.
2. Use the phone while it charging.
If you're using the manufacturer-approved charger and battery, you should be fine.
People believe that using a phone while charging will make the phone explode, or electrocute the user. That actually happened to an iphone user. But reports say it's because of a off-brand charger, not an original one. But it is not good for heavy downloads while it charging because it heats a lot if you do so. What about heat? The 3rd one is about heating.
3. What about heat?
Lithium-ion batteries heat themselves, and get hotter while they're charging and using internet.
But cold weather can also have a negative impact on battery life. Cold battery will die faster than usual in low temperatures.
It is recommended to keep over 32°F. Your phone will be safe if you keep within its
recommended temperatures. For an iphone, 32°F is lowest recommended temperature. For Samsung, its recommended to keep the phone between -4°F to 122°F.
4. Charging the battery overnight.
Some people say that charging the battery overnght overcharges the battery. No. It's wrong. If it's true, every time you full charge your device it becomes unstable.
The phone is smarter than you think. Once
it's fully charged, it knows to stop charging. That doesn't mean you should be charging your phone all night. Your
battery life will last longer if you keep your phone charged between 40% and 80%.
5. Don't need to turn off the phone, ever?
When you see the System uptime of your phone, sometimes it may over 100 hours.
Your phone may be a machine, but it needs to take a few breaks. Apple Genius says that in order to maximize battery life, you should turn off your phone from time to time, especially when you go to bed at night. Turning off the phone is important for Android devices as well. A simple reboot can help restore battery life.
It will also help you to refresh the system and avoid from lagging.
*****Important*****
• Keep your battery charged between 40% - 80%.
• Turn off the phone at night. (When you go to bed.)
• Restart the device at least once a day.
